Holy Crepe! I'm sew excited!

I arrived home today to find Crepe from Colette Patterns in my letterbox.

This will be my third sewing project. I have decided, if I still like sewing after this, I might have to purchase a sewing machine (def second hand and probably pretty simple).

I'm really impressed with the packaging of the pattern. It was comes in a lovely card folder complete with a whole booklet of instructions and a few words of encouragement. This is just what I need at the start of my first 'dress sewing project'.  Now I have just have to decide on a fabric: decisions decisions.

If you'd like to see some great examples of the Crepe pattern, check out Hot!Damn!Femme's blog and the beautiful version from Casey on her Elegant Musings blog.  If you're interested in making one too, have a quick look at Gertie's step by step tutorial to see what I'll be doing sometime soon!

What I'm reading: Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti

While I don't mind a witty or good looking bit of graffiti every now and again I have to say I can't wait to see some of this graffiti in real life!

New Video for you!

I was sitting at home on a day off wondering what to have for breakfast when I saw my sister post about a lovely breakfast she was planning. I posted underneath and put in a bit of a hint for an invitation. Surprise surprise, she didn't invite me :)  That's OK, really wasn't expecting the invitation but I did spend a little bit of time while I made my meal making this little movie for her.

Enjoy!

Homemade Cadbury Creme Eggs

Check out the most Awesome Easter idea ever: Homemade Cadbury Creme Eggs from Ashley's blog NotWithoutSalt. I have to admit, I was too lazy to give it a go this year...but next year, for sure!
It was a cold and rainy Sunday evening a few weeks ago so I decided to make some Lasagna. We hadn't eaten lasagna in so long. Here's a few pics and a cartoon I drew at the end. It worked out well and lasted us three dinners. Yum! What types of foods do you like to cook when the weather turns cold?

My first attempt at making a short movie

I love simple stories that make fun of the everyday. While working on some similar films for work, I got the idea for this one. Technically, it is complete crap. I know that. But it put a smile on my face and a few friends gave me good feedback too.

It is very basic but I'm having fun making these :)
